Paul has particular skills in the completion of project documentation and on-site observation of historic and complex projects. He has extensive technical knowledge and coordinates the documentation and on-site administration stages of both large and small scale commissions.

Originally a builder by trade, Paul completed university studies for Architecture in the late 1970’s.   He has completed Post Graduate university studies in Historic Buildings (Canberra),  Industrial Painting Technology, with emphasis on historic coatings (Houston, Texas), Advanced Heritage Construction (Tasmania) and  has completed studies in Heritage Timber Conservation.  (West Sussex, UK).  He has completed ongoing studies on Heritage Plasters, (London); Heritage Concrete;  (Kansas City); and Heritage Brick & stone (West Sussex, UK)

While working at Athfield Architects, & in recognition of his work on Government House, the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet awarded the team at Athfield’s a medal for their heritage work.  Paul is also on the assessment panel for the Registered Architects Board.
